Ocular researchers are necessary to finding treatments and cures for diseases responsible for blinding or impairing the vision of millions of people worldwide.
As a key part of the mission of the Lions Medical Eye Bank and Research Center of Eastern Virginia, tissue not suitable for transplant use and with expressed consent for research use is distributed fairly to researchers and for medical education.
